Christopher N Kimaru, Pr.Eng.

CEO and Founder

Christopher Nganga Kimaru graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Cape Town in 1996. With over 27 years’ experience as a Professional Civil Engineer, he has refined his skill in executing complex sanitation, water and roads projects in South Africa. An exemplary leader with a clear vision for the future of the firm, Chris has overseen the successful implementation of over 100 projects on time, within scope and budget. Developing and maintaining resilient and sustainable infrastructure is one of his key focus areas.

Chris has also designed and successfully secured a patent for a Manhole Protector Grid ( MPG). The MPG is a device which is placed inside a sewer manhole, just below the cover slab and above the pipeline. It creates a resilient semi-permeable barrier that filters out foreign objects, preventing them from entering the underground sewer pipes and causing blockages that lead to sewage spillages. Constructed from durable, non-corrosive materials, this versatile accessory can be installed in new sewer manholes or retrofitted into existing ones. This innovative product is designed to help municipal authorities reduce the incidences of sewage spillages and attendant operations and maintenance costs by a factor of up to 70%.
